QUAI D'ORSAY

QUAI D'ORSAY

History of QUAI D'ORSAY

Named for the famous bridge in Paris, this brand is one of two (the other is Siboney) which are devoted to the interests of a specific national tobacco governing body, in this case, the Tabacalera. Created in 1970, this is a lighter-bodied cigar and the range is all handmade. All its sizes tend to use light wrappers, a frequent preference in France. Cigars are of a nice taste, mid strength, solid in texture and good burning properties. Aromatic, woody and slightly dry flavors are all present in Quai D'0rsay .

Born from a love affair between Cuba and Paris, the Quai d’Orsay Especial d’Orsay marks 50 years of cool, understated style. Rolled to a generous 6 x 53, this anniversary size showed up first in Havana, gala lights, good rum, and plenty of raised eyebrows included. What’s in the smoke? Think smooth from the first draw, easygoing but far from boring. It leans mild, yet keeps things interesting with layers of flavor that unfold without ever shouting for attention. This is the kind of cigar you light when you want to relax, talk, laugh, and forget about the clock. Refined without being uptight, modern without trying too hard, Especial d’Orsay feels right at home.

A classy nod to five decades of style, made to be smoked, not overthought.
