SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA HABANA

SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA HABANA

History of SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA HABANA

The latest and probably the last of the new series of Havana brands launched since 1996 has been given the original name of the city of Havana when it was founded by settlers back in 1519 - San Cristóbal (St. Christopher) de La Habana. The brand boasts four sizes, each of which is named after one of the fronts that defended the city in its heyday, as the hub of the Spanish empire in Latin America. Two of the sizes, La Fuerza and El Morro, are entirely new and are unique to the San Cristóbal brand. All San Cristobal de la Habana cigars are rich in flavors and are fragrant. A great aging potential is present with these "new school" Havanas.

  • Ring Gauge: 52
  • Cigar length: 162 mm / 6.38'
  • Vitola: Other
  • Strength: Medium - Full Body

Originally launched in 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of San Cristóbal de la Habana, this cigar is more than a commemorative piece — it’s a bold expression of Cuban craftsmanship.

The format? Capuleto — a rare Grand Toro (162mm x 52) that looks as good as it smokes. It comes in a humidor shaped like a pirate's treasure chest, but the real treasure is inside: 20 hand-rolled cigars using long-filler leaves from the legendary Vuelta Abajo region.

From the first draw, you'll get cedar and leather. Midway through, things get creamier, richer — think dark chocolate, maybe a little earth and roasted coffee. Balanced, well-built, and full of character, this cigar has depth without overwhelming the senses.

A medium-to-full-bodied ride for those who like complexity without chaos. Limited, collectible, and seriously rewarding.
