JUAN LOPEZ

JUAN LOPEZ

History of JUAN LOPEZ

In 1876, Juan López Díaz created the Juan López brand; in 1908, the brand was passed to his heirs, and was then sold to the Sociedad C. Del Peso y Cía in 1918. The Juan López is one of the few Cuban cigars that is still only made by hand (hecho a mano). Although the brand is offered in a limited number of styles, it is said to be one of the best handmade Havana cigars produced. Medium strength and a woody aftertaste makes these cigars attractive to all Cuban cigar smokers.

"Kiss me a lot" — that's the vibe behind this new Regional Edition, born in Mexico and named after a 1932 love song that's practically woven into the country's cultural fabric. This is a Sublimes at heart: a big, bold 6.46 x 54 built for slow afternoons and long conversations. Crack it open and you're greeted by wood, salt and earth with a tangy edge, before it softens into almond cookie sweetness, roasted coffee and a touch of florals, finishing out on a smoky, ashy note.

Scored 89 points (Cigar Aficionado 2026) and dressed in its "Exclusivo Mexico" bands, this one's medium in strength but big on personality — a genuine taste of Mexico, boxed ten at a time, straight from the source.
