Cigar Forums

Recently, there has been much discussion surrounding some of the leading Cigar forums on-line and the fact that one person is buying them all up. I completely understand the frustration of the Members of these different forums, who having built up a community and a trust in that community over the years, now find themselves a small part of what has effectively become a big advertising space across the web. Gone is the passion for cigars, gone is the reliable information and gone is the point of these communities. Having browsed some of these forums recently, I see more and more advertisements from merchants who are not official Habanos S.A. retailers and who sell more than suspect products and yet, they are being put forward a recommended reliable vendors. It is more important to sell advertising space, even if it is to fraudsters, than encouraging the community atmosphere that was the foundations of many of these forums. It is truly a sad state of affairs when the supposed sources of credible information actually have a completely alternative agenda. I fear for the state of the Cuban cigar market world wide as more and more pushers of fake cigars dictate the information and market price of a product they do not even sell. Saddest of all, it is you the smokers who have been let down by these forums, it is you the smokers who are smoking more and more fake Cubans and it is you the smokers who are falling into the trap of believing the ridiculous prices advertised by these thieves. I cannot say it enough times, there are no amazing deals for a Cuban cigar. If you pay Fiat price, you will not receive a Ferrari. Members of these forums, stand up for your rights and demand justice!
