Alejandro Robaina passes away

Alejandro Robaina, the famous face of the Vegas Robaina cigar brand and major figure of the Cuban cigar industry died last weekend (Sat 17th April) at the ripe old age of 91. His family have been tobacco farmers in Cuba sine 1845. Alejandro Robaina was honored by Habanos S.A. with a brand named after him. Launched in 1997,the Vegas Robaina brand was developed to rekindle the 'Old Havana' style of cigars. Strong and harsh, with hints of intense sweetness. The Man will be missed as he was one of the few faces one could associated to the Cuban Cigar Industry. Many thanks for all the great smokes!
