This week sees the beginning of the Semaine Du Gout (Taste Week) throughout Switzerland. A chance to discover and sample a plethora of foods, wines and spirits to one's hearts delight. Restaurants put on special menus composed of traditional dishes using local produce and opening their kitchens for keen foodies to watch and learn. Butchers, Fish mongers, Bakers and Cheese people will be offering tastings and proposing lessons for the next ten days. If you are anywhere in Switzerland, I suggest you make the most of the special event.
