Open caves - winery weekend !

This weekend sees the 'Open Caves' (Open Winery) in the Suisse Romand area (French speaking area of Switzerland). All the wineries open up and allow the general public to come in and taste. Local Red, White and Rosé will be following, as we meander our way on bike from cellar to cellar down the famed wine trail. A salami and a block of cheese in the back pack, a series of Coronas (Raphael Gonzalez Corona Extra, Romeo y Julieta Cedros De Luxe No.2, Vegas Robaina Familiar and Hoyo Coronas) in my carry humidor and off we go for a splendid weekend in the sun. Congratulations to Barcelona FC

A big round of applause to Barcelona FC, who last night became Football Champions of Europe by beating Arsenal FC in the final of the Champions League, in the Stade de France in Paris. Down to 10 men in the 18th minute, Arsenal still managed to take the lead through a towering header by Sol Campbell. Arsenal fought hard to keep their goal advantage, but with tiring legs and a referee that seemed to be favoring the Spaniards, the inevitable inevitably followed. Eto'o scored the first in the 79th minute, which was quickly followed by a second and the game was wrapped up. Let us hope this acts as an 'amuse gueule' for the World Cup. Enjoy !
